Nowadays, logistics plays an important role in the industry which is why companies need 
some help and establish how the product will arrive on time most effectively. Party 
logistics is a useful tool for companies for shipping, warehousing, and supply chains to 
take the product to the end consumer. 
 
To ship products across the world, companies rely on logistics management to organize 
and implement their supply chains. Various kinds of party logistics enable companies to 
manage their complex supply chains. As each level of party logistics serves different 
purposes, companies need to understand the difference between 1PL, 2PL, 3PL, 4PL,

Extra points to understand the differences: 
• For small and medium businesses,2 and 3 pl it is perfect. 
• 5pl, it is perfect for e-commerce 
• Cost is often one of the most important factors for determining the best solution. 
At lower levels, payments to providers are less expensive.

• 3 and 4pl are too similar but the difference between them,3pl is a service specialist 
in logistics more than 2pl,4pl is a service that will be in charge of all the logistics 
process and will deal with all the suppliers and coordinate all the logistics. 
 
Examples of companies. 
1pl. Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola does the logistics of their products and also controls where 
the products will be in the stores, and also has a connection with the end consumers. 
2pl. Any company like FedEx, or DHL. They play the role of transporting the product and 
they oversee the logistics it is perfect for a small or medium business. 
3pl. Mercado Libre, Amazon, Shein. These companies play the role of the logistic process 
and the main difference between 2pl, these companies are in charge also of the 
warehousing of the product. 
 
 
 
 Conclusion. 
 PLs are useful tools for a companies that 
 Does not have logistic solution or does not
