What is acne and what causes it?
Acne is a condition of the skin that teenagers have because of hormonal
changes that come with puberty. If your parents had acne when they were teens,
you’ll probably have it, too.
What can I do about acne?
Oily skin can contribute to acne, so wash your face once or twice a day. Don’t
scrub your face. It may irritate the skin and pores.
If you wear make-up or sunscreen, make sure they’re oil-free. This means
they won’t clog your pores, which contributes to acne. When you are washing your
face, be sure to remove all your make-up.
